This is frustrating because this setup works on my other desktop computer just fine with the same OS/programs/drivers, but not my laptop. The system clearly recognizes the controller - I have Twitch input/output devices listed in Windows audio, and any media I play sends audio through the controller to headphones. Plugging the controller in then doesn’t change my available options in the preferences. If I unplug the controller, Mixxx starts fine, but gives a warning that there are no audio inputs. I also disable any other audio devices in Windows during this. The logs are completely empty and have 0 KB filesize. I’ve tried reinstalling everything deleting the Mixxx folder in %LOCALAPPDATA% and checking the log files generated. With my controller plugged in, when I start Mixxx I get the Mixxx load screen and a blank window popup titled “Novation USB Audio”, several seconds later both close unexpectedly.

Ensure you're connecting to a USB port on your computer directly (not via a USB hub).

Try connecting your device to each USB port on your computer.

If you see this error then it could be owing to a faulty USB lead, hub or even a faulty USB connector.
